Book Feature & It's FREE Today & Tomorrow! The Fall of Lilith by #Author Vashti Quiroz-Vega

Hello, everyone! I’m so happy to be here at Rebekkah Ford's Blog. Thanks for inviting me, Becki!

My name is Vashti Quiroz-Vega and I’m a writer of Fantasy, Horror and Thriller. If you enjoy reading short stories in those genres and poetry you can do so on my blog, The Writer Next Door | Vashti Q. I’m here today to tell you a little about myself and to introduce my new novel, The Fall of Lilith.

I began reading, writing and storytelling early. In elementary school I drew pictures and wrote stories in comic book form and sold them for a quarter a piece. I grew up in a religious home, attended a religious private school and went to church regularly with my parents. I read many religious books. I also enjoyed fairy tales and mythology and devoured many of these types of books. I’ve always been curious about angels and other supernatural creatures. The combination of all of the above was the inspiration for The Fall of Lilith.

The Fall of Lilith is an adult (18+) epic fantasy with dark elements about angels. It is the first installment of my Fantasy Angels Series. The characters in this story are angels depicted in a very unique way. It is a story of many twists, surprises and a bit of controversy.

Blurb:

“I merely assisted you in doing what you desired all along.”
So says Lilith, the most exquisite of the angels. The two most important pledges an angel makes to God are those of obedience and celibacy, and dire consequences await any who break their oaths.
At first, the angels are happy in their celestial home, learning and exploring together. As they grow older, though, Lilith begins to question these pledges, which now seem arbitrary and stifling. Her challenge of the status quo leads to disagreement, jealousy, and strife among her peers. As the arguing and acrimony grow, lines are drawn and sides are chosen. Is war inevitable?
Filled with robust characters, incredible landscapes, and exciting action, The Fall of Lilith is an epic tale of seduction, betrayal, and revenge.

Free Will involves asking difficult questions and making hard choices, choices that require strength and sacrifice. These decisions can tear apart friendships and cause rifts between allies.
They can even threaten the foundations of Heaven.

“The Fall of Lilith is a compelling narrative that provides background on several well-known, supernatural figures. Though obviously religious in nature, Quiroz-Vega’s book strays far from traditional biblical text. Sea monsters, mermaids, and vampires share the stage with angels and demons. And illicit (and explicit) affairs, violent battles, and graphic injuries abound. Quiroz-Vega’s prose is incredibly descriptive. A well-written, descriptive, and dark creation story.”–– Kirkus Reviews

As a gift to her readers, Vashti is giving this ebook away for FREE. But you better grab it now because this offer ends soon! If you do download The Fall of Lilith, which I already have, please do a review and post it to Amazon. It doesn’t have to be long. It helps authors out. Thank you. You can get it for free hereà  https://www.amazon.com/Fall-Lilith-Fantasy-Angels-book/dp/B074CPKLHH/

Where To Connect With The Author:

#Dreams. What Do You Think?

My niece mentioned the other day that it would be cool to video tape your dreams.

I agree.

Some of my dreams, though, would be a horror flick.

I tend to have dreams about vampires.

Imagine that.

The Vampire Diaries is one of my favorite TV shows, and I write paranormal books.

So, yeah, I can totally understand why I have those types of dreams.

Sometimes I’ll dream about demons, and when they’re really scary, I’ll wake up with my heart pounding. This of course, doesn’t surprise me. I mean, my Beyond the Eyes trilogy has dark spirits AKA demons in them, and they play a huge role in my stories. I also sometimes have haunting dreams about a basement that has wood paneling walls. When I enter that room, my heart is racing, and my blood runs cold. I approach the wall, slide it back, and I'm confronted by darkness. It’s endless, and I somehow know it’s a doorway into another dimension. I can feel the evil pulsing outward from the depths of this hidden realm within the house I dwell in. It seeps into my very soul, chilling me to the bone.

I’ve had dreams similar to that one throughout my life. I’ve always wondered if it’s because when I was very young we lived in a haunted house with a basement just like the one in my dreams. I can recall being afraid to go in that room by myself. So naturally it makes me wonder, even to this day, if something malevolent resided there. Or, maybe it wasn’t evil at all, but then again, why was I frightened to be alone in that basement?

I don’t know.

This one time a friend of my parents was staying with us. One night, he ran up the basement stairs scared out of his mind. He told them as he was falling asleep the covers levitated off him. Needless to say, he never entered the basement again by himself.

So, back to recording our dreams. It would be cool to do, because maybe it would help us answer questions about things we’ve always wondered about. It might even unlock a subconscious door that would help us discover things about ourselves or what happened to us we’re not consciously aware of. But then again, are some things better kept under lock and key? What do you think?
