Happy 2022!

Wow, is 2021 really over with?

Just when we thought we were almost home free, news about Betty White passing on punched me right in the gut. 😭

What about you?

Did you feel the same crushing blow?

I think a lot of people did.

I know she’s with her beloved husband now and she’s happy, but damn, I wasn’t expecting that.

Also, my great aunt Pat crossed over on Christmas Eve . . .

. . . So, 2021 was a sucky ass year full of loss, anxiety, stress, tears, and fear, but it was also full of growth, beauty, and amazing manifestations.

BUT, I do not want to ever repeat that year or anything remotely close to it (do you hear that my higher self and Universe?).

Yesterday morning, the sun was out, so we went to the beach and got some ocean vibes, which was nice.

In the afternoon, I cleaned the whole house, Kevin washed the bedsheets and saged and Palo Santo every room in our house.

Yeah, we weren’t fucking around here folks. 😂

We wanted to make sure whatever negative and/or stagnant energy was in the house would leave the house. We even opened the kitchen window so the energy had a way to escape our wonderful home.

And let me tell ya . . .

. . . After everything was done, it felt so much cleaner, fresher, and better in every room.

I also performed a simple burning ritual last night, which was writing down everything I wanted to release that didn't serve me. I burned it, and then on a separate piece of paper, I wrote down what my heart desires for 2022 and burned that as well. I then released the ashes outside, allowing the breeze to carry out my intentions to the Universe, God, Source, or however you want to define it.

If anything, it felt good to do and was fun.

Today the sun is out again, and we were able to get outside in nature to enjoy it and the sunshine.

Life is good.

I did notice a bit of anxiety inside me, but I’m learning how to embrace it and not push it away because when you push the anxiety away, it locks inside your body. Just allow it but don’t attach yourself to the feeling. Instead, observe it because that feeling is not you. Your true self is always happy, relaxed, and is love. Feelings that are the opposite of what you truly are come from the human mind, the ego-mind. Recognize it, but don’t identify with it. So that’s what I’ve been doing.

Anyway, there’s one thing I need to take care of in my life and once I do, everything else will fall into place, and that can happen any minute now.

I'm excited! 😂

May 2022 be an amazing year for me and YOU!

Cheers, my friends!  🥂

New Year, New Brand, And An Important Announcement

Happy 2019!

. . . Yeah, I’m six days late. 😂

I’ve been crazy busy, hustling to get the new website I built live.

Can you believe I built a frickin’ website all by my non-techy-I-don’t-understand-this-shit self?

-So, this is proof that you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

Our new brand is Exploring Rabbit Holes. This website is the main hub for me and Kevin’s art, his self-discovery blog, my health and wellness one, my books, etc. Click on this link to check it out: http://exploringrabbitholes.com/

I have an informative article about CBD oil, and you can find out more about us on our About Us Page.

Exploring Rabbit Holes is a work in progress. I have more ideas for the site that I’ll get to as time permits. The same with our Etsy store (DARETOLIVESHOP). I built it as another creative outlet for us. We do have dare to live t-shirts to go with our YouTube Dare To Live brand, which promotes a life of self-discovery and inspiration. Our mission is to celebrate the human experience in a dynamic and courageous way through our art, music, and ideas. 😊 Click here to check it out: https://etsy.me/2Vy0qQ7

Today we created a new YouTube video on the benefits of walking. We take you on one of the routes we walk and we talk about it. The filming is a bit bumpy because of the snow and ice on the road. We plan on getting a GoPro in the near future, which is an action camera you hook onto your car or helmet.

If you want to see where I currently live, click here to watch the video: http://bit.ly/2EMuEtx

If you do watch it and like it, please click the thumbs up to like it. As you know, we’re newbies at this and in the learning stages.

. . . But, like I’ve said before, every pro was once a beginner.

Oh, my Facebook Author page got a face lift, and I combined my author brand with our Exploring Rabbit Holes one. http://www.facebook.com/RebekkahFord2012

Why?

Because the two now are holding hands. 😍

I’m an author and an explorer who is into health and wellness, self-discovery, and travel, which I will be writing about.

It makes perfect sense.

-So, now the important announcement.

. . . I’ve been struggling with a decision to make. The decision is should I shut down this blog and focus totally on Exploring Rabbit Holes or try and keep up with both?

To be honest, this blog (Wandering Thoughts of a Writer) has a special place in my heart because I created it years ago when I first wrote Beyond the Eyes.

I was going to shut it down, but today I came to the decision to keep it for my books, writing, and possibly to share with you videos we create.

What does this mean?

It means I won’t be posting every week to this blog.

If you want to hear from me every day or week, follow me on my Facebook Author page and on my Health and Wellness blog on our Exploring Rabbit Holes site.

On the book front, I’m in the process of rereading/rewriting/editing Legends of Deceit book #2. After that it’ll be sent to my editor. I’ll keep you up to date on it here.

Lots of changes are already happening in this new year—exciting crazy scary and cool changes.

I hope you plan on still following me because I’d love to have you along for the ride with us. 😘

Happy New Year!

I want to wish everyone a  . . .

May this one be the best yet.

My 2017 was productive, tough, and full of inward growth. Here’s a quick breakdown of it.

The hubster and I quit smoking. He put the suckers down April 1st and a month later, I did.

My relationship went through some tough times. I honestly think it had to do with us not smoking. We’re all good now, but there were months last year that was a struggle to get through.

We got some improvements done on our house—a new window and the enclosed front porch.

We bought and planted two fruit trees—an apple and plum.

We planted a garden.

We planted daisies.

I released my first fantasy/paranormal book (Legends of Deceit).

You can get it here-->

I started writing the second book in Legends of Deceit’s two book series.

I had a landing page created for my books. You can check it out here--> http://rebekkahford.com/

We bought a class A RV that’s in great shape. We plan on renovating it in the spring to make it our own. I’ll talk more about that later.

I had to get fillings in my teeth—which I don’t think I had to—that my EX-dentist . . . yes, EX-dentist did.

I had to get a root canal.

I learned a lot more about myself and what direction I want to take my life.

Last year, I learned a lot of deep shit, you guys. I’m talking psychological, philosophical, going down the rabbit hole type of shit that changed Kevin and I. And we’re not done. Far from it. LOL.

Anyway, I have a lot of plans for 2018. So stay tuned!

Peace!
