Happy Friday!

So Tuesday I posted a blog post and said I’d adopt the attitude of being indifferent and changing my perspective regarding this endless snowy weather.

How did I do?

I rocked it!

Okay, so this week my car got stuck in the snow, but thankfully Kevin was nearby and able to free my car from the clutches of snowmageddon.

I fell backward in a snowbank.

It was kind of fun.

I laughed and so did Kevin.

My butt got wet, but no biggie.

The next morning the driver’s door on my car wouldn’t close.

WTF?

Kevin sprayed WD40 in the latch, and he fooled around with it for a bit.

The damn door still wouldn’t close.

So I had to drive to the office while holding the door close so it wouldn’t swing open.

Long story short, I parked my car in a heated shop and a couple of hours later the door closed.

YAY!

Kevin and I figured the latch was frozen and needed to warm up but there was still the tiny concern that I lost a spring or something along those lines. Thankfully we were right.

Oh, and I had to deal with annoying ass monkeys this week.

How did I cope with everything?

I was indifferent.

The car got stuck.

Well, that sucked, but I realized it would do me no good to get pissed off or annoyed about it.

Why ruin my day over it?

So I shrugged it off.

It wasn’t like I’d be stuck there forever, right?

Falling in the snowbank.

No brainer.

That was funny.

Car door not closing.

It was annoying, however, I became indifferent about it.

Absurdities will happen.

I told myself one way or the other my car door would close again, and I crossed my fingers the problem was as simple as a frozen latch.

It was!

Regarding the unpleasant people I had to deal with this week . . .

I didn’t give them the power to kick me into a bad mood because of their shitty behavior.

So all and all, despite the daily challenges I was faced with this week, I applied what I’d learned and thought I did well.

We’re supposed to get up to 8 inches of snow on Sunday and more snow next week.

We’ll see how I do then.

How was my Monday?

Well . . .

I believe I’m being tested.

Endurance and patience.

Yeah.

I wrote a positive blog about Monday.

I still stick with what I said and believe it.

But!

I’m being tested.

Did I say that already?

It’s fine.

Really.

The universe is testing me to see if what I’ve been learning I’ll actually apply to my life.

I’m being tested with this.

Can you believe this shit?

It’s April!

And check this out . . .

It’s supposed to snow again today, Sunday, and for three days next week.

Really?

It feels like we’ll never be able to renovate our RV.

I know we will, it’s just . . .

I’m tired of this weather.

I know I choose to be tired of it.

It’s ALL a matter of perspective which is true.

So I will adopt the attitude of being indifferent on the matter because hey, I don’t have magical powers to change the weather, so what’s the point of getting all balled up in a knot about it?

I do have the power to change my perspective.

Happy Easter weekend and Easter, everyone.

Guess what?

It’s snowing again.

Yes, AGAIN!

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind winter, and I rather be cold than hot, but . . .

I’m ready for spring.

This winter weather is pushing back my plans to film and start the renovation on Aesop.

Oh, I found curtains I want to get for my kitchen window and the window next to the booth.

The gal is going make the curtains to fit my windows. I need to measure the windows, but I can’t do that until the weather is decent.

*Sigh*

Anyway, this weekend is going to be low key for us. It’s just me, Kevin, and this guy . . .

We decided to have ribeye steak, bake tators, and roasted veggies on Sunday.

Yummy.

Happy Friday!

I found out today we’re supposed to get clobbered with more snow.

Are you frickin’ kidding me?

A couple of weeks ago we got I think it was 14 inches of snow, and it’s finally melting.

But oh, no. Mr. Winter here isn’t done with us yet.

We’re supposed to get dumped on today, Sunday, and Monday.

Oh, and get this . . .

The weather peeps are predicting snow at the beginning of April as well.

Really?

I think Spring is sleeping in.

Someone needs to wake her up.

I wanted to start working on Aesop A.K.A. RV this weekend, but I guess not.

I also wanted to start filming.

But, that’s okay. I’ll be able to do those things soon enough.

So this weekend I’ll be learning how to use our new camera, hopefully—I don’t want to jinx myself—finish the second book to Legends of Deceit series, or get through the current scene I’m kinda stuck in, work on future plans, go on date night, among other things.

The snow is melting . . . slowly but surely.

So next week is spring and it's supposed to be in the 40s which means more snow melting.

Yay!

And what this means to me is we get to start working on Aesop A.K.A. RV.

I'm so excited to get this going.

BUT.

I personally won't be able to work on it with my own two hands for a while. Here's a basic lineup that we have for Aesop.

1.) Kevin needs to fix the ignition switch and get a new battery.

2.) Get a tune-up and have it mechanically gone through to make sure everything is in working order. Hopefully, all will be good.

3.) Get new tires put on and a new spare.

4.) Get new front seats.

5.) Bring Aesop home and put a new furnace in.

6.) See if we need a new air conditioner. If so, we'll have to buy and install a new one.

7.) Generator. A mechanic we know has our genny right now. He knows how to rebuild them, so that's what he's doing. Once he's done, he'll install it for us.

8.) We need to make sure everything works inside the RV ie: fridge, stove, etc.

9.) Solar panels and a battery system to accommodate it. We know NOTHING about solar panels, however, I'm part of a solar energy group on Facebook, and the guy who runs it is an expert on solar energy. He installs solar panels on other people's rigs for a living. I'll be going to him when we get to this point.

10.) After we install the panels, we'll need to put some kind of sealant on the roof. Kevin was talking about something like that, but I can't remember exactly what he called it.

Now for the fun part.

11.) Rip up the carpet, paint, put blinds and curtains up, lay new flooring down, build some shelves.

I need shelves for my books ya know.

And blah, blah, blah, blah.

After that, we should be done.

I'm sure, though, there will be some surprises along the way. But that's the basic outline of what we have planned for our RV.

It's going to be a lot of hard work but worth it in the long run.

I'll be taking before and after pictures to share with you. I'll also be filming it for our future Youtube channel.
